IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU

March 02, 2024

As each new year unfolds, my focus naturally shifts towards setting intentions. How can I lay the groundwork for a successful start to the year? Habit two of Stephen Covey’s renowned book "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," first published in 1989, emphasizes the importance of beginning with the end in mind.

“Begin with the end in mind means to start with a clear understanding of your destination. You need to know where you are going in order to better understand where you are now so that the steps you take are always in the right direction.”

As February draws to a close, I’m still grappling with questions and trying to SEE the finish line. When uncertainty clouds the way forward, I ultimately spend time looking back and asking, what worked well and what didn’t, examining the landscape from the previous year and assessing the outcomes. Instead of the end, this year I’m travelling back to the beginning.

This month marks a significant milestone in my journey-

25 years of living by my brush alone.

TWENTY-FIVE YEARS of connections, relationships and cherished interactions that have guided and carried me down this river, including the multitude of paintings residing in the hands and hearts of my supporters and collectors.

Although this year feels murkier than in the past, one truth remains steadfast - the power and importance of connections. Friends, clients, teachers, colleagues and family have been pillars of support throughout my journey. It is because of you that I have been able to live my dream for over two decades.

I often reminisce about the early days of my career when I had the opportunity of interacting with many of my collectors on a more regular basis. I enjoyed hearing about your lives and the lives my artworks lead beyond the studio, how they were integrated into your surroundings and where they resided within your home.

As I ponder my dreams for 2024 and make a master plan for their realization, I would love to reconnect with YOU.

If you have a moment, email a quick HELLO.

Writing this missive has made one thing very clear, my gratitude to all the people who have grown with me from the outset of my career to this moment.  Your support is an honor that I cherish deeply.

Here is to another glorious twenty-five years.

And from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
